For the first time at Paniyiri Greek Festival, a chalk artist will transform parts of Edmonstone Street into magnificent three-dimensional chalk murals depicting The Colossus of Rhodes; the statue of Greek Titan Helios and and The Parthenon; a temple on the Athenian Acropolis.

This weekend, Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 May, Amelia Batchelor will give festival-goers a glimpse into Greek history with a striking twist as she re-creates the famous Greek constructions in the heart of South Brisbane. Amelia draws her inspiration from history and past lives. The official ‘artist’ for the Brisbane City Council, Amelia’s Greek inspired 3D art will be a show stopper at Paniyiri 2013!

ROAD CLOSURE INFORMATION:
Edmondstone Street, outside the Greek Club between Russell & Besant Streets in South Brisbane will be closed from 6am SATURDAY 18 MAY to 6am MONDAY 20 MAY.
Russell Street between Edmondstone Street and Cordelia Street in South Brisbane will be closed from 9am to 10pm on SATURDAY 18 MAY and from 7am to 7pm SUNDAY 19 MAY.
A temporary taxi rank will be placed on Russell Street for public transport requirements.
Paniyiri Greek Festival apologises for any inconvenience this may cause, and encourages local traffic to use an alternative route.
